Time and Billing: Task Billing Options

Task Based Billing is an add on option. Many insurance and corporate clients now require task based billing. Some even require specific forms to be completed. Our program maintains the information required for most "task based billing clients", and our standard reports may well satisfy the needs of your clients.
If your clients require reports which are not included with the system, we can customize these for you, or you can use Crystal Reports to create your own forms.
The program enables you to maintain a list of "task codes" which correspond to the Time and Billing Program's Action Codes. In this way, attorneys who use the standard billing program do not need to learn new descriptive codes.
Examples: On the Litigation Code Set, "L110 - Fact Investigation/Development"; On the Bankruptcy Code Set, "B110 - Case Administration"; On the Counseling Code Set, "C100 - Fact Gathering"; and on the Project Code Set, "P100 - Project Administration".
Since corporate and insurance clients frequently request that you apply task based billing midway through matters which already have billed work, the program incorporates the ability to edit matter summaries of legal tasks, and to edit matter summaries of legal professionals' time.
Once WIP and expenses have been entered, the program summarizes the time and costs and stores the summaries in task related form. This information is used to provide reports, and invoice forms.
The program includes reports for Litigation, Bankruptcy, Project and Counseling. An example of the Litigation report is included.
